Unleashed Siblings in the house

Middelburg’s Lucky Sithole is going places. If he is not busy as an instructor with a fitness class at Virgin Active, he is making serious good music with his house group, Unleashed Siblings.

The 26 year-old formed the group in 2009 with Noluthando Zwane and they were later joined by Leenah.

The latter has subsequently decided to take a break from music to pursue a different career, but Lucky and Noluthando (or DJ Lucco and Nowly as they are known on stage) are going from strength to strength.

“We are both producers and DJ’s, and where necessary, we also do the vocals for our songs. Our music is fresh – it is house and we write about everything that we see. It really is for everyone.”

The group received the award for the Best House Song of the Year in 2015 at the Mpumalanga Sunshine Media for their track, Take it Back. They have also performed with the likes of Euphonik and their music have been played on MTV Base and Channel O.

More recently they were on e.tv’s “Sunrise” where they were in a Battle of the Mic showdown with Blek Cyza & Brian Q.

“We had to perform our two best songs and luckily we won – which meant that we were granted the interview on national television!”

Sithole is inpired by the likes of Black Coffee, DJ Fresh and David Guetta. “It is our dream to entertain crowds overseas one day and we especially want to crack the American market.”

But first they are focusing on giving their best for their local fans – as their gigs at the Banquet Hall, Hendrina, Belfast, Dullstroom and Musina attest.

During the day Sithole is a floor instructor at Virgin Active and is in charge of the Killer Abs class.
“Fitness and music go hand in hand. To train, you must have music and through my classes I also meet a lot of people.”

“We will try our best and eventually we will make our dreams a reality.
